At your first appointment, we discuss your symptoms, activities you find difficult and your goals. Assessing movement and function helps shape the plan and identify changes to follow over time. Each part of the programme is adapted to your situation.
The service is for people with musculoskeletal problems, for example involving the back, neck, shoulder or knee. Treatment may include manual therapy, exercises and guidance for everyday activities, selected after assessment. The plan is reviewed according to your response.
Your programme takes account of the stage of recovery and medical guidance. Goals may include mobility, strength, walking and independence. Where needed, and with your consent, care can be coordinated with your doctor or specialist.
Exercises and loads progress according to your abilities and the demands of the activity you wish to resume. This may involve strength, movement control and tolerance to loading. We review goals and progress together, without setting the same timeline for everyone.
Ernesto Martina’s training includes manual therapy, dry needling and myofascial treatment. Services also include mechanical fibrolysis, lymphatic drainage and cupping therapy. The choice depends on assessment and whether the technique is appropriate for the individual case.
